Installing Printer's Plan on a Workstation Computer
STEP 1 - FIND OUT VERSION NUMBER (this is important)
In Printer's Plan, click the Help menu and then About Printer's Plan to find out the Version Number of Printer's Plan.STEP 2 - DOWNLOAD ONE OF THE SETUP PROGRAMS
Depending on your Version Number, download one of the following files:
- Version 2007.04 (21 MB)
- Version 2006.01 (21 MB)
- Version 2005.02 (21 MB)
- Version 2003.51 (6 MB)
Save the file to the desktop of your computer.
STEP 3 - INSTALL PRINTER'S PLAN
Double-click the file you downloaded to start the setup program. Follow the instructions to install the Printer's Plan on your workstation(s).STEP 4 - START PRINTER'S PLAN
After the installation, start Printer's Plan on that computer. If this is the first time you opened Printer's Plan on that computer, a window will appear, asking for the location of the Printer's Plan database. Select the Plandata.mdb file in the Printer's Plan folder on your server.
Installing Printer's Plan Companion and MS Access Runtime
STEP 1 - INSTALL MICROSOFT ACCESS (if not already installed)
If MS Access is not already installed on your computer, download this setup file:
MSAccess2000 Runtime Setup (32.2 MB)
After you download the file, double-click on it. Select the compact/workstation setup.
STEP 2 - DOWNLOAD (one file only)
Depending on the version of Microsoft Access on your server computer, click one of the following files to download. Save the Companion file to the Printer's Plan folder on your server:
a) Printer's Plan Companion for Access 97 (1.5 MB)
b) Printer's Plan Companion for Access 2000 (1.7 MB)
Sample Artwork Files for Preprinted Forms
Printouts may vary from printer to printer. Please test the artwork on all your printers before having your forms printed. To setup top margin and fonts for Invoices and Statements: In Printer's Plan, select Defaults / Options / Printing.
